About us

Mesa is a neighbourhood restaurant in Nottingham, known for its bold small plates, fusion flavours and relaxed atmosphere. The idea began in 2017, inspired by our travels and our love of sharing food together.

In 2022 we were inspired to revisit our idea and finally bring Mesa to life. We opened our doors in Hockley with a passionate and talented team across the kitchen, front of house and behind the scenes.

While faces have changed over time, our philosophy has remained the same: cooking over fire is always at the heart of what we do — embracing fusion, drawing inspiration from around the world, and never limiting ourselves to a single culinary style.

Today, Head Chef Brad Filkins leads our kitchen and menu development. With years of experience as a private chef and in top restaurants, Brad brings precision, creativity and fresh seasonal ideas to every dish, helping to refine and elevate Mesa’s offering.

Since opening, Mesa has gone from strength to strength. We’ve welcomed record numbers, built a loyal following, and hosted everything from weddings and birthdays to graduations and local business pop-ups.
